Thank you for visiting the official website for Sunfield Township, located in the heart of Michigan where the sun and fields meet. Established in 1842, Sunfield Township is the home of many fine communities, including The Village of Sunfield, Bismark, Little Venice, Shaytown, and Woodbury. The Village of Sunfield is the only incorporated municipality inside the Township.
About 2,200 people representing over 625 families live in the township. Comprised mostly of rural communities, the population density was 60 people per square mile. There are approximately 825 homes in the township at an average of 23 per square mile. Thirty-five percent of households in the township are the home to children under the age of 18. Average family size is 3 people per household.
Sunfield Township is a great place to live, work, and play. Because the web has become the most efficient and cost effective way to inform and educate citizens about the activities of their township government, this site is provided by the Sunfield Township Board as a public service to residents and nonresidents. We have a lot to offer so visit this website often for ongoing news and announcements. For questions, or if your township board can be of any service, please go to the "Contact Us" page.
